Handguard Installation Made easy

Expert Article By: Ryan Baliza

Like any other motorcycle parts, handguards are as equally important. You need them to maximize hand and lever protection. Perhaps the best thing about these items is the fact that aside from the protection they guarantee, they are also made available in a wide array of choices with colors and styles. This means that they add up appeal to your bike, too. And with your choice and clamps to properly fit standard or oversize bars, these handguards are an amazing choice for any off-road motorcycle or ATV.

Now as soon as you get your new handguards, installing them shouldn?t worry you. Here are simple steps you can follow. First, you need to secure all the necessary materials you will need. They are the wrench, socket wrench, mounting kit and of course the handguards. Initially, you need to grab the four brackets. It is well to note how they fit together; your handlebar will go through the opening. The two curved brackets are curved in opposite directions, and it makes a difference as to which you attach to which handlebar.

Normally, it will be obvious if you put the wrong one on a side. The handguard will end up looking wrongly positioned instead of being perfectly apparel to the lever. Nevertheless, you can do it successfully though it?s your first time.

Now, grab a set of brackets. Note that U-shaped brackets are interchangeable. Put the appropriate long/curved bracket underneath the handlebar and subsequently push the U-shaped bracket down over the handlebar. It is your goal to get them as close to the hand grip as possible. Be certain that cables go below of the brackets. They shouldn?t be trapped between the brackets where they will fray or short out. Next up, screw in the provided tiny little screw. As the mounting brackets are in place, it?s time to attach the handguards. With adjustable handguards you can set both how far to the side the guards extend and how far away from the lever the guards sit.

As for the configuration, thread the long screw through the chosen hole in the bracket. Don?t forget the lock washers. Slide on the handguards and attach the locknut. When everything is attached, tighten up the bolts well. Remember to put these bolts into the mounting brackets. It is highly important that the brackets stay tight on the handlebar.

When everything is done, double check is a-must to secure maximum fit and protection.

Open Question: What do you think of my book?

The park was very capacious. It had two swings, a sandbox, and one slide. The rest of the park consisted on dense woods and tranquil trails. I slowly strolled through one of the less frequently used paths. I stirred up the loose path gravel with the toe of my sneaker. Then I heard it. It was clear as day, and evil as the devil himself. It sent definitive chills down my spine. It was Vincent’s voice, but what he said was worse. “What are you gonna do Naiter? You gonna run home and tell mommy? Oh wait, sorry I forgot. She’s DEAD.” Naiter? I snuck closer of the edge of the trees. I saw Spencer standing tall about seven feet in front on Vincent and his little group of two followers. I recognized them both. The chunky, redheaded one was Rhett Bryland. The scrawny, yet intimidating one was Stanley Misacker, but neither if those boys compared to Vincent. Vincent, with his spiky black hair and leather jacket. He had big, black, biker looking boots one. He was not the type of person you’d want to go get an ice cream cone with or something. From the edge of trees I could see Spencer was not in good shape. He had cuts everywhere, his shirt and running shorts were covered in a mix of blood and dirt, yet he stood tall and determined. “What’s the matter Naiter?” said Rhett “Can’t you live up to daddy dearest’s legend? I heard that he’s a terrific actor.” “Oh yes.” taunted Stanley “He acted like everything was normal when really he had shot your lovely mommy. It was honestly, quite admirable in my opinion, it’s a real shame he ain’t very good at hiding his trial.” “Oh well.” Said Vincent “Frankly, the chick deserved it.” “SHUT UP!” hollered Spencer. “JUST SHUT UP!” “Oh, so he is a brave little daddy’s boy, isn’t he?” Said Vincent “Too bad we don’t tolerate brave little ones. Do we boys?” “Absolutely not, it is simply unacceptable.” Said Rhett “Boys,” said Vincent with a sinister smirk “What do we do about such unbearable actions?” “I have feeling daddy’s boy is about to find out.” whispered Stanley “Oh yes he is.” Before Vincent finished the sentence his right fist had already introduced itself to Spencer’s abdomen. Spencer doubled over in pain. He tried to fight back, he tried so hard, but three to one is not a fair fight. Within seconds Spencer was in the grass getting kicked and punched and spit on. I had to do something, but what I did was very unexpected and unlike me. “STOP!” I shrieked bursting into the small clearing. Vincent, Rhett, and Stanley whipped around. I instantly saw recognition in Vincent’s eyes as he saw who had interrupted their fun. “Well, well, well, what have we got here?” Vincent said trying to hide the shock “Boys, You remember our old friend Ethan Kenner, right?” They both nodded “Well I’d like you to meet Naomi Kenner, his little, baby sister.” He stepped closer and looked me up down. “But you aren’t much of a baby anymore, are ya love? You actually turned out to be pretty decent.” I tried to hide my terror, but I was certain my efforts greatly failed. “How is old brother Ethan? I haven’t really talked to him in a while. I wonder why?” I knew what he was doing, he was trying to get to me, to break me down, but I wouldn’t let it work. “I think you know perfectly well the answer to that Vincent.” I spoke strongly. “Oh yeah. He died, silly me.” He said with a fake laugh “My memory has greatly failed me today, please forgive me.” “I wouldn’t forgive what you did for anything.” I said, glaring “Good, because that doesn’t bother me sweetheart.” He said stepping even closer “Never call me that again.” I could actually taste the bitterness in my voice, but Vincent continued as if I didn’t say a word. He got in my face a spoke through clenched teeth.”But you know what does bother me Naomi?” “Why your cologne reeks?” I said crinkling up my nose “No.” he said clenching his hands into fists, I could tell it was taking all his strength not to beat me within an inch of my life right now. “What bothers me is who would have the audacity to come out here and interrupt our little…session here? Do you know the answer Naomi? I think you do.” He walked over to Spencer, picked him up by the collar of his shirt and threw him down next to me. “WHAT IS THIS?” he hollered in my face. I had unleashed the notorious wrath of Vincent Richker. “Seriously, WHAT is this? Is Naiter her your boyfriend or something Naomi? Is that it? I don’t think Ethan would be too proud of that, do you?” Suddenly Spencer was on his feet and lunging at Vincent, but Vincent was too quick. He punched Spencer in the chest, knocking the wind out of him and sending him flying back down on the ground next to me. Spencer lay at my left, curled into a helpless ball. I knelt down a helped him up onto his feet. “Please,” I said “Just leave him alone.” “Just leave him alone.” Vincent mocked in a high pitched voice which made his little groupies laugh. “Why should I do that, princess?”

Open Question: Can You Guess This Anime?

Okay, so I know this may be hard, but hopefully someone will get it. I've seen these two (Not sure if a couple or not...) This happy (And I think clumsy) girl with short brown hair and brown eyes. And a grumpy looking dude with relatively short white hair and red eyes. I've seen them in lots of art and was wondering if they were in an anime? Maybe it's some sort of Tsundere..... AND ANOTHER ANIME I saw a picture of a guy with black hair looking a little restless and this short thin girl with LONG blonde hair in some unkempt white gown wearing a biker helmet. She had really lazy eyes. So if you know anime #1 or #2 please tell me! ありがとう!

Open Question: What will be the probable result?

For my birthday three years ago, my husband paid for me to get a tattoo on my right calf. We are both bikers and my husband designed the tattoo, which is sort of like the symbol of this group we travel with. Two weeks ago, we were travelling to North Dakota, when the back tire of my bike lost traction with the road, and I wiped out. The result was a displaced fracture of my right tibia and fibula. I had surgery to put te bones back where they should be, but the surgeon messed up. He could have made the incision a few inches to the left of the tattoo, but instead he cut right through the center of it. When my husband found out about it, he was furious!!! Right now, we can't see it because I have a cast covering it. In a few days, I will get the cast off, and we are thinking of suing the surgeon. What are our chances of winning?

It is almost impossible to find a Denim Vest for men in NYC at this season. I am looking for more of a fashionable one, not a biker or punk one. I am searching for a darker denim or a washed denim, or black denim. If you can help me find a store that sells them in sizes S and M I would greatly appreciate it. I have been searching for months and i still have hope that i'll find one, please if you see a store that still sells them don't be afraid to share the name and directions.
